College Essay Guy

College Essay Guy Conclusions need not be long arduous rearticulations of everything you've said. They can simply provide the final idea your paper leads up to . An essay built on such logic will be harder to attack. If each separate argument fits tightly into an overall argument then attacking one idea means attacking them all. This is harder to do than criticizing discrete arguments that do not build on each other. Each paragraph should have a separate purpose, just as each sentence has a separate function. A transition sentence can conclude a paragraph in a number of ways. It can summarize the paragraph, connect the paragraph back to the thesis, or indicate how the next paragraph will follow. Once you provide your evidence, you need to discuss it. You can effectively pose rhetoric on a new sentence of inquiry. Rhetorical questions increase the dramatic effect of your essay, making it more interesting and engaging to keep on reading. Get to the point without being too wordy and adding too much unnecessary information. If you want to succeed in your education, you should master these skills as soon as possible in order to craft brilliant essays. Perhaps your paper exemplifies a larger thematic discussion or perhaps it should but that larger discussion doesn't exist yet. Either way, you can connect your discussion to others, demonstrating the larger importance of your specific argument. This will help you know what to write and have enough content. The reader will be interested to keep on reading if you have organized your ideas systematically. Let your ideas flow smoothly from one to another. That’s what you should ask when writing a narrative essay. Most college students turn their attention to the letter grade or percentage score. Choosing a powerful topic will set a right tone for the whole paper. There’s a simple guide that can help each student to write any type of an essay, regardless of the requirements and purposes. Whether your task is to present your point of view on a specific issue or compare different things, the basic structure of your work will be the same. Writing skills are one of the main abilities you’ll develop during your college years, from the first weeks to the very end of your degree programme. Through background research, you can make connections between sources and discern which sources are most valuable to your topic. One of the best and traditional methods of keeping your audience engaged is by applying rhetorical questions. You can use rhetorical questions in one paragraph and address that rhetoric on another paragraph. People will lose interest in your work if you write lengthy sentences. Ensure even a lower grade child can easily read your essay. Remove word or phrases that do not introduce any new idea to your essay. As you aim to be precise, be careful not to lose the purpose or the flow of your essay. Do not lose your reader by having a disorganized essay. You may find many trustworthy academic resources there. To know what to look for, familiarize yourself with the library sections relevant to your topic. Library staff can direct you to valuable material. To eliminate redundancy, every paragraph should advance the essay further than the last. Organizing your essay means identifying the separate functions of each paragraph and understanding how each function fits into the essay overall. Many students end the review process at this point. If your instructor has specific requirements for the format of writing assignments, check them before submitting your essay.

Write My Paper

Write My Paper The doubts you have about the quality of writing are going to disappear as soon as you take a look at the essay we deliver. It is going to look flawless, having no typos or grammar errors. I can't believe one can write an essay this fast! Thank you for the phenomenal speed and good quality. The following material is adapted from a handout prepared by Harry Livermore for his high school English classes at Cook High School in Adel, Georgia. You can use multiple free revisions to make your essay flawless. As it is in the case of any interaction between two or more individuals, there might be some misunderstandings. If you believe that some of the sections of the essay need alteration or you are not happy with the final result, you can ask your assistant to make changes. There is nothing I could be disappointed with at this point. Of course, I could have done it myself, but I was too pressed for time. The deadline was kind of a problem and I got my paper a bit later than I wanted to. But it’s fine, the most important thing is the quality of writing and it is high. On the other hand, do not exclude your creativity from the equation at all. The more inventive you get with the presentation of your findings and your personal conclusions the better. Use this assignment to show your imagination and ability to explain even the most complex phenomena in an easy and engaging way. One of the pitfalls of writing an interesting essay is using too many unnecessary details. The main idea of an expository essay is that you need to become a real expert on the topic of your project. It means that your task is to find as many relevant facts as you can. Then, you can easily see a clear picture and organize the information you have properly. On one hand, you have to be attentive and precise. They distract the attention of a reader and makes it hard for her to grasp the main idea. You should enjoy writing it instead of trying to meet the required word count. Would you read your essay with excitement if someone else gave it to you? If the answer is negative, try to change your approach. Start looking for the right verbs and adjectives. I’m grateful to my writer because she worked hard to meet my expectations and also to my friend who recommended me this company. Surprisingly, this is one of the most effective services I’ve used so far. My essay looks good and the structure is well-organized. This is the first time I'm using this service but everything went smoothly. It is very hard for me to write in English as my native language is Spanish. Thank you for making my writing look a lot better. You can notice that there is a money-back guarantee at this service. If something goes terribly wrong, we will process your inquiry. It is amazing that now I can get my paper as fast as within only five hours. I’m glad I don’t have to spend too much time on this assignment. I thought I was going to fail this class this time. The information in the essay is relevant and interesting. Thank you very much for taking on such complex tasks. If it were simple, I would not search for an online writer to do it. I won't say that my essay is something extraordinary, an average quality I guess. But it still is a lot better than the one I tried to write and failed.

How To Construct An Essay

How To Construct An Essay Feel free to contact them at any stage of the order. You can reach out before ordering the paper, too. You can ask for updates to see if things are going well. You can also send additional instructions if you get more ideas. It’s very important for you to get the content on time. A final argument is that school can offer a much wider range of subjects and expertise than parents can provide on their own. Parents would need to have a whole range of professional knowledge in science subjects like physics and chemistry to English literature and economics. It is also questionable whether parents could keep a disciplined study atmosphere at home because of the friendly family atmosphere. In sum, home tuition can affect social independence and fail to provide the correct resources and professional teaching. Once you’ve written an essay, you will need to edit it. In the next post, we’ll have a look at how to proof and edit your work in detail. Know your textâ€" The easiest way to fail an essay is to not know your text well. Make sure that you have studied it in depth and revised all of the themes that you can discern. If you’re unsure, read Textual Analysis â€" How to Analyse Your English Texts for Evidence. The next step is to understand the English essay structure. For example, how an example highlights certain ideas that you can use to back up your point and answer the question. Do some online research on what other people say about your text (this can be helpful in solidifying the ideas that you’ve already brainstormed). Our customer support department is very effective in replying ASAP. We recommend you to set a shorter deadline than the one you actually have, so you’ll leave space for revisions in case you need them. You’re safe to place an order, knowing that we never share details with third parties. If you can, familiarise yourself with the people who think they’re wrong and awful. Figure out if there are arguments which are unresolved and see if you can make a contribution towards resolving them. They might ask you to ‘critically assess’ some claim or concept, or ask you a simple question which you’ll have to answer in a complex way. Familiarise yourself with the module rubric and assessment notificationâ€" Your teachers will not set you a question that is completely unexpected. They must draw the ideas and terms of the question from the Stage 6 Preliminary English Module rubrics that we looked at previously in Part 1. Knowing the details of these rubrics will enable you to unpack the question’s module concerns with relative ease and focus on the textual aspects of the question. Topic Sentences and Linking Statements guide your marker through your essay. You will receive an entirely unique paper that cannot be tracked as plagiarism. We have a versed offer that covers all papers assigned throughout high school, college, and university. There’s practically no assignment we’d struggle with. You get to choose when your essay is delivered to your email address. However, there are also arguments in support of sending children to school rather than educating them at home. At school, on the other hand, they are able to socialise and meet people of different ages and so become increasingly independent. Children also need their peers to do subjects like sports and drama. Another important point is that schools have more resources and equipment than can be provided at home such as libraries, sports equipment and laboratories for science experiments. Make sure you relate the introduction to the Module. Recap your supporting ideas and the approach you took to them . You have discussed the module concerns throughout the essayâ€" You just have to summarise the relevance into one sentence. You know what your themes areâ€" You can use your topic sentences to produce your thematic framework. They’ll make a statement and tell you to discuss it. They might ask you to compare and contrast two different ideas, or say which of two theories is the more accurate. You don’t want to get penalised because you didn’t reference your readings properly after you’ve put in all that effort to make sure that your arguments are founded in the literature.

Write My Essay For Me

Write My Essay For Me In some cases, a two-or-three paragraph conclusion may be appropriate. As with introductions, the length of the conclusion should reflect the length of the essay. You may be the kind of writer who writes an introduction first in order to explore your own thinking on the topic. Let our service be your reliable helper and feel all the benefits today. Use clustering or mind mapping to brainstorm and come up with an essay idea. This involves writing your topic or idea in the center of the paper and creating bubbles of related ideas around it. If so, allow yourself a little more time after dinner to finish writing your essay. The reason that teachers don’t assign a number of pages anymore is because it’s too easy to manipulate pages. When students used to write on typewriters, it was common for teachers to assign essays in number of pages. With the adoption of computers in the classroom, teachers switched from pages to work count because it was too easy for the computers to manipulate the font size and page size. If so, remember that you may at a later stage need to compress your introduction. The primary topic of a paragraph may be expressed in a topic sentence. The main topic of an essay, report, or speech may be expressed in a thesis sentence. However, if you're blessed with the ability to write immaculately and at speed, you may not need this long to edit your essay. While writing long essays, you have full freedom to express your ideas in a much bigger space. But, in short essay, you may feel that you don’t have much space to make an argument, as you need to be precise with your words. Your introduction should build up the interest of the audience, and it should be clear that what is the topic. The major feature of a short essay is that you have to limit down the words of your arguments and ideas. Short essays have a specific structure to be followed. By assigning a word count, teachers get a more accurate length of essay than they would if they assigned homework by pages. A passionate essay writer always wants to add multiple arguments in his/her essay. But in a short essay, you have to control yourself. Only put useful arguments and weed out irrelevant ones. But, be alert, never remove the most convincing points or else your essay will lose its purpose. The first thing before you initiate the writing process is reading. You can underline important information or encircle the main question. You have to make sure what the question wants you to write. Students sometimes in a hurry fail to understand the topic and end up writing on something else. The intro should be very catchy as it will attract the readers and then they can easily get your point. A thesis statement should be placed in the introductory paragraph of your essay. A short essay is very different from long essays. It does the same job for an essay as the topic sentence does for a paragraph. In a paragraph, the topic sentence tells the reader what the subject of the paragraph will be and how it will be developed. In an essay, the introduction, which can be one or two paragraphs, introduces the topic. The main idea of the essay is stated in a single sentence called the thesis statement. You must limit your entire essay to the topic you have introduced in your thesis statement. For most essays, one well-developed paragraph is sufficient for a conclusion. The purpose of an essay is to encourage students to develop ideas and concepts in their writing with the direction of little more than their own thoughts . Therefore, essays are concise and require clarity in purpose and direction. This means that there is no room for the student’s thoughts to wander or stray from his or her purpose; the writing must be deliberate and interesting.

If you are feeling afraid of losing your job to a grammar checker, you don't understand your job very well. If a machine could catch all the surface errors my students make on their writing, what other aspects of my students' writing would I want to spend more time on? Instead of thinking of writing as a grammar test, you will be able to see it as communication. The Virtual Wrting Tutor is primarily an English Second Language grammar checker. Consider how you conclude your paragraph and how you might link it to the following paragraph. Poor spelling, reasonably or not, gives the impression of carelessness and laziness. Several studies have shown that presentation does have a subconscious effect on markers, even when they’re not explicitly marking on that criterion. Although this course is not directly related to specific tests or exams, it will prepare learners for any test that requires clear and concise writing. But beware the added complexities involved in formatting your document or the added time required to add a diagram by hand. Some versions of the software available on public machines produce graphics that cannot be printed from other machines. Give yourself time to test for potential glitches of this sort. Normally this is not included in the word count, but check with your lecturer or tutor to be sure. 2) report writing, which focuses primarily on reporting facts and making recommendations. Unless you are told otherwise by the course instructor, use the Departmental conventions. You should only use a quotation when you are unable to say something better, not just because you can’t be bothered to summarize a point of view! For example, if an author has summed up their argument in one pithy phrase, then it might be worth repeating. Linking words clarify for the reader how one point relates to another. An essay flows cohesively when ideas and information relate to each other smoothly and logically. You may return to discuss the background/context of the topic, if relevant. If you are not sure, ask your lecturer or tutor. You can also get further advice from a Writing Mentor or a Language and Learning Adviser. Areference list or bibliography â€" formatted according to your referencing style â€" on a separate page at the end of your essay is also usually required.

Try to make the topic about your own expression and feelings. With that being said, keep in mind the rigid structure of an academic essay and do not forget to follow the guidelines. It allows you to assess the various ideas and information that you read, and decide whether you want to use them to support your points. As you get more experienced with essay writing, you will want to adapt this model to suit the structure and shape of your ideas. I did not expect anything this good from an average writing service. The prices are affordable and the quality of writing is inspiring. I'm so glad I managed to turn in my essay by the deadline! Thank you for making that extra effort and assisting me with this debatable topic. I was at a loss and the time was running very fast.

4 Tips For Essay Writing

4 Tips For Essay Writing However, there’s no need to conclude every paragraph with a summary of what came before. Just make sure you paragraphs transition nicely from one to the next. Some teachers advice their students to come up with three points for their thesis. What invariably ends up happening is that you end up writing three mini-essays that are only loosely connected. After you gather your research, think about how you want to organize it. A simple five-paragraph essay should begin with an introductory paragraph, include three paragraphs presenting information or arguments, and end with a concluding paragraph. If your essay is longer than five paragraphs, it should still begin with an introductory paragraph and end with a concluding paragraph. When you write your essay, you will likely need to refer back to this information and include it at the end of your paper. You can also have as many middle paragraphs as you like. Every essay obviously has an introduction and a conclusion. You can begin your conclusion by doing a brief summary of the events in the essay. The remaining part of the narrative essay introduction should be dedicated to why you believe this story is so significant and what the readers will be able to take from it. 62 Best Essay Writing Images In 2020

62 Best Essay Writing Images In 2020 Links are optional but it will help your argument flow if you include them. They are sentences that help the reader understand how the parts of your argument are connected. The most common format required for essays is double-spaced, font type Times New Roman, and font size 12pt. With that in mind,1,000 typed words is about four pages. The average person types40 words per minute, so it would take about 30 minutes to finish 1,000 words of writing. When you’re at school, your teacher might be marking your essay alongside those of twenty other people . You might be given a choice of three or more essay questions. The same might happen for a period in history or a monarch, or an analysis of a case study. And finally you’ll get to the point where you might have a topic list to choose from, but the essay title itself will be entirely up to you. That’s completely ridiculous but my teacher refuse to reinstate the point she took off because she said 2500 words and not 2498 words. I could’ve just said that my was 2500 words and she would’ve never known the difference. I don’t understand why I’m being punished for being honest. Can someone explain to me why so many people are obsessed with word count and page count? If you’re a writer, shouldn’t writing well be the most important thing? Why do writers seem to obsess over word count and page count? For example, if the assignment says the writing should be in 10-point font, it’s going to take a greater number of words to fill a page than if the assignment requires a 12-point font. There are instances when you’re given an assignment, not by word count, but assigned by the number of pages. For example, “Write a paper four pages long.” If you get an assignment to write four pages, one of the first questions that will likely come to mind is, “How many words are in four pages? Most commonly they come at the end of the paragraph but they can be equally effective at the beginning of the next one. Sometimes a link is split between the end of one paragraph and the beginning of the next . ” If you need to figure out words per page, you can use a words per page calculator. Check out episode three of our podcast, No More Beans, for even more great tips on writing essays against a deadline. It's important to limit the time you spend on this, as it is easy to get distracted when Google presents you with copious amounts of irrelevant information. This is a great guide, but people should be aware that these are just estimates. For example, I am currently writing a paper and have 5,000 words, but only 17 pages . Things like paragraph size and headers need to be taken into account as well. My teacher told me that I needed to write an essay that had 2500 words. I got marks off for not writing an essay with exactly 2500 words. Is this really something that’s worth complaining about? The important issue is to write the best essay you can, not the length of words. If you’re focus in only on the words and not what you’ve written, your writing is never going to be good. Focus on what’s important, not on things like this. The truth is there is no definitive answer to this question. But you'll find your essay easier to write if you're armed with lots of relevant info, so don't scrimp on it either. We wouldn't recommend writing an essay in such a short period of time, but the good news is that 3,000 words in a day is totally doable.

They come with tax advantages when used for their intended purpose, which includes paying for college. Plus, they earn returns that more closely resemble other investment accounts, making them potentially more lucrative than a traditional savings account. These investment options were named after the Internal Revenue Codes Section 529. Created in 1996, the section allowed qualified tuition programs to achieve tax-free status, ensuring earnings were tax-deferred, and distributions were not taxed on the federal level when withdrawn for qualifying educational expenses.Unlike traditional investment accounts, 529 college savings plans are run at the state level. However, that doesnt mean you can only choose from those offered by your state. In fact, you can explore any that dont have residency restrictions, allowing you to find the best 529 plan for your needs.Every state offers at least one 529 plan. However, they dont all work the same way. Usually, each plan falls into one of two categories: pre paid tuition plans or education savings plans. What is a 529 Prepaid Tuition Plan?Prepaid tuition plans allow students and their families to buy credits or units that can cover tuition and fee costs at participating colleges and universities. These 529 plans give you the ability to purchase the credits based on todays prices instead of what college may cost in the future. This may or may not work in your favor since, if the cost of college goes down, you dont get any money back. Many prepaid tuition plans do have residency requirements, either for the saver or the beneficiary (the student who will be going to school). Additionally, your student might not be able to use this option to pay for other expenses, such as room and board, equipment, or supplies. What is a 529 Education Savings Plan? When people envision a 529 plan, they are usually picturing the education savings plan version. Education savings plans are more flexible than prepaid tuition plans these function like investment a ccounts.Typically, the saver chooses between a range of investment portfolio options, like mutual funds or exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Any returns on the investments are deposited into the account, possibly helping it grow over time.Like all investment accounts, these 529 plans come with a degree of risk. Your students portfolio may not experience gains and could even suffer losses. Before you open an education savings plan, you and your student need to determine how much risk you are comfortable with and select options that align with your preferences. Additionally, diversification is a must, as this prevents all of your proverbial eggs from being in one basket. It is easier to use a 529 education savings plan for a wider range of purposes. For example, your student can use 529 education savings plans at almost any college or university in the country, and a broader selection of expenses can be covered with the money. Residency requirements for opening an account are also less com mon, so you might be able to look at programs in other states. What Can I Use My 529 Plan to Pay for?Prepaid tuition 529 plans are fairly limited, covering only tuition and certain mandatory fees. Thats why many people consider the education savings plan version the best 529 plan when compared to the alternative. With the education savings plan, the money can also go to tuition and fees, just like a prepaid tuition plan. However, it can also cover much more, including:Room and boardOff-campus housing (up to an amount equal to the cost of room and board on campus)Books and supplies (only if they are required for your students classes)Computers and software (when required as part of your students education)Internet serviceSpecial-needs equipment and special-needs transportation (eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis)There are a lot of common expenses that are not eligible under 529 plans. You cannot use a 529 plan to pay for the following without potentially incurring a pena lty:Transportation (non-special-needs)Student loan payments or interestSports and activity fees or equipment (not related to a class)Health insuranceBefore using a 529 plan distribution for any expense, it is wise for your student to speak with the school to determine if the item is actually considered necessary for their education. Otherwise, it may not be considered a qualifying expense, and that can lead to a tax penalty. What are the Penalties for Non-Qualified Distributions? If your student takes a 529 plan distribution and uses the money for a non-qualifying expense, the financial consequences can be severe. If the distribution is made up of earnings (not original contributions to the plan), it is taxed at the ordinary income rate, and there could be an additional 10 percent penalty. The saver can withdraw original contributions and not have to pay the penalty. However, that money is then taxed at the income rate, so there is a financial impact. However, there are some non-qualifi ed expense penalty exemptions too. For instance, if your student receives a scholarship, they might be able to avoid the 10 percent penalty for a non-qualifying 529 plan withdrawal, but might still have to pay income taxes on the money.Since your student can use scholarships to free up 529 college savings plan money, striving to land scholarships is a smart financial move.If you and your student want to learn more about scholarships for college students, attend our free college scholarship webinar! Luckily, there are a few standouts.Determining which 529 plan is best means you need to examine a few points. Shakespeare s Twelfth Night, And Marlowe s The Tragical...

There are several differences in themes, writing styles, and conclusions found within historical British plays, in particularly the plays of Everyman, The Second Shepherds’ Play, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and Marlowe’s The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus. These plays reflect many of their times’ heated topics and concerns. While the endings to each of these plays significantly contrast, the themes within each play fully prepare audiences for the ending to which will be further explained. Of these plays, Everyman and Doctor Faustus are perhaps the most similar, yet the most contrasting. While both appear to explore the subject of death, the act in which they come to their conclusions differ greatly. For instance, Everyman tries repeatedly to convince company to join him on his journey to death, while Faustus always has company attempting to persuade him away from his evil deal with Lucifer or vice versa. As they approach the ending, the stories become opposite as they were in the beginning. Everyman eventually finds his company, while Faustus must face the consequences of his deal with Lucifer all alone. The ending of Everyman leaves the audience with a peaceful feeling, knowing that they too can be accompanied at death by doing good deeds. However, The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus leaves the audience with a tragic, morbid ending as they watch him join Lucifer, alone and in despair, regretful of his deal. Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and The Second Shepherds’

Concept of Elder Abuse Samples for Students †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Concept of Elder Abuse. Nursing Introduction Elder abuse is a concept in old age care that has a wide scope. In the simplest terms, elder abuse may refer to the repeated act or action that hurts elder persons. As aforementioned, elder abuse is a broad concept that cuts across economic, social, psychological and physical mistreatment of the elderly person. For example, it is financial elderly abuse when one does not care about the financial needs of an elderly person in the family who has no ability to meet his/her financial needs. Notably, elderly abuse is committed by either a family member of a health professional. In the scenario at hand, the elderly abuse is in hospital settings. Description of the Event and My feeling The article presents a case study of an elderly man that dies while undergoing treatment at a health facility. Basically, from the chain of events, it is clear that the elderly many man died due to negligence exhibited by the health professionals at the facility. Well, this is how events unfolded. The issues all started when Zdenek, an elderly man of 88 years was admitted at Gold Coast nursing homewith minor pressure wounds (Lewis, 2016). A few days later, even after a health staff had given medication for the same, Zdeneks wounds get into a worse state as indicated by the foul smell felt by Yvonne, a family member who had visited him in the hospital. After realizing that Zdenek situation had taken a turn for the worse, they try to convince the health professional at the facility to have the patient transferred to another facility a request that was decline with claims that he would do better. Apart from not managing the wounds to the required standards, the patient was as well left in position, just put in a fallout chair, which would not allow ease blood circulation. It is conclusive that the death of Zdenek was largely contributed by 3 things. The first is lack of wound management skills for the Registered nurse, sheer negligence to the pa tient and poor or no coordination and escalation procedures. Generally, this made me both sad and sympathetic. The sad mood was contributed by the inappropriate conduct and actions of the registered nurse in addressing the patients case. First, I am agitated about the idea that the nurse lacked the necessary skills to give the elderly man the best medical care. This is against the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) professional standards of practice (Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council, 2006). According to the NMBA, each nurse that is allowed to practice ion the Australian health care must meet minimal professional requirements which includes training or simply put, competency standards. It is clear that the nurse did not have the competency regarding wound management and would not admit as early as possible to have the patient transferred to a specialist. The fact that the manager of the health facility admitted that in indeed the staff had little training on wound management confirms our doubt of her competency. The second thing that angered me regards the conduct of the nursing staff. The NMBA provided that any registered nursing working in Australia must always abide by the code of ethics the body stipulates. In this scenario, the nursing professional in questioned breached this provision of ethics by being dishonest. The nurse lied about the situation of the patient and also, was not ready to honestly admit that she could not manage the wound. Thirdly, I am angered by the fact that the nurse did not obey the provision of the NMBA that guides to professional boundaries. He/she nurse very well that the condition of the patient was beyond her professional but went ahead to attend to the patient. As regards sympathy, I must say that I am really compassionate bout the family of Zdenek for losing him. Comprehensive Analysis of Learning from the Event Basically, the event presented in the scenario is a clear case of professional misconduct and negligence. Apparently, these are the major contributors to the medical error that occurred and led to the death of Zdenek. Looking at professional misconduct, you find the registered nurse did not give the patient the needed attention as stipulated under NMBA. Also, the registered nurse lacked the clinical skills to manage the patients wound thus resulting to poor medical error and poor treatment. If only the nurse had the relevant skills to manage the condition, the patient would have survived through. In addressing this medical error, I would devise an action plan that would constitute having drug guides with me at all times, double checking procedures, considering teamwork and collaboration, providing Patient-Centered Care as well as revising the nursing profession practicing skills more often to get informed. In order to effectively to enact an action plan that aims at reducing the medical errors, I will need to learn some new knowledge. Firstly I will lean about the procedures of patient referral so that incases I have a case I cannot handle, I refer the patient to a specialist (Blais Hayes, 2011). Secondly, I will have to have on the appropriate procedures of escalation and communication of cases to the family members and workmates where need be to avoid unnecessary clashes (Craig, 2009). Thirdly I will need to learn about the available patient safety measures at the hospital (Blais Hayes, 2011). I will need to learn fundamental nursing best practices and skills (Marshall, Raynor, Maureen, Paul, 2010; Melnyk Fineout-Overholt, 2011). New knowledge about nursing leadership and management would be valuable tolerant to too (YODER-WISE, 2013). Conclusion It is saddening to learn that most of the deaths that occur in health care facilities, especially the Old Age Cares, are caused by sheer negligence of the nursing professionals and professional incompetency. Arguably, most countries across the world have specially formulated regulations that are meant to guide the operations of their health sectors, For example, in Australia; NMBA is a body that sets the standards that all nursing and midwifery practices are based on. However, the many nursing professional choose to breach these principles something that leads to medical errors and consequent loss of lives. As such, all medical professionals need to be sure to abide by minimal standard of practices to save lives. References Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council. Poe And Burial Motifs Essays - Fiction With Unreliable Narrators

Poe And Burial Motifs Poe is a very complicated author. His literary works are perplexed, disturbing, and even grotesque. His frequent illnesses may have provoked his engrossment in such things. In 1842 Dr. John W. Francis diagnosed Poe with sympathetic heart trouble as well as brain congestion. He also noted Poe's inability to withstand stimulants such as drugs and alcohol (Phillips 1508). These factors may have motivated him to write The Tell-Tale-Heart, The Cask of Amontillado, and The Black Cat. All of these stories are written in or around 1843, shortly after Poe became afflicted. His writing helped him to cope with his troubles and explore new territory in literature. Poe's interest in the supernatural, retribution, and perverse cause them to be included in his burial motifs; therefore sustaining his interest. There is a common thread laced through each subject, but there is variation in degrees of the impact. The supernatural is the phenomena of the unexplained. With this comes an aura of mystery and arousal of fear. Death in itself is the supreme mystery. No living human being can be certain of what happens to the soul when one dies. It is because of this uncertainty that death is feared by many. These types of perplexing questions cause a reader to come to a point of indifference within one of Poe's burial motifs. One is uncertain of how the events can unfold, because a greater force dictates them. Reincarnation in The Black Cat is a supernatural force at work. There is some sort of orthodox witchcraft-taking place. The whole story revolves around the cat, Pluto, coming back to avenge its death. One can not be sure how Pluto's rebirth takes place, but it is certain that something of a greater force has taken hold. The cat's appearance is altered when the narrator comes across it the second time. There is a white spot on the chest "by slow degrees, degrees nearly imperceptible...it had, at length, assumed a rigorous distinct outline...of the GALLOWS" (Poe 4). Foretelling the narrator's fate a confinement tool appears on the cat's chest. This also foreshadows the cat's confinement in the tomb. It reappears like a disease to take vengeance on a man that has committed horrid crimes. "I was answered by a voice within the tomb! --By a cry, at first muffled and broken, like the sobbing of a child, and quickly swelling into one long, loud and continuous scream, utterly anomalous and inhuman--a howl--a wailing shriek, half of honor and half of triumph (Poe 6). Pluto is like Poe's reoccurring illness it keeps coming back just when he thinks it is gone. This can be related to the ever-looming question of why people become afflicted with disease. Is it punishment for wrongdoing? Some religions find this to be the answer. Poe's intrigue in reincarnation may have been in that of his own immortality. Metaphysical events take place in The Tell-Tale-Heart. The perpetrator is driven by some unknown source to reveal his evil deed. The paranoia he feels is very real to him. "I fancied a ringing in my ears...[it] became more distinct...I found that the noise was not within my ears...It is the beating of the hideous heart [of the old man]" (Poe 3). Ringing is heard only in the man's head, but because a impetus has compelled him to believe otherwise he is inclined to reveal his misdeed. The source of the man's "voices" is from a force within himself. One's soul is an unexplainable power, which governs over the body. The murder of the old man is committed in passion. Disregarding any rational thoughts the narrator is engaged in his own desires. His unconcern for mankind causes his own insanity. Even he can not live with his actions. The mind as a supernatural force, that dictates life, can only cope with so much. Poe himself experiences hallucinations from his illness, and abuse of alcohol. Years of defilement caused his body, and mind to break down. At one point in time Poe raved "...for protection from an imaginary army of conspirators disguised as 'loungers'" (Mankowitz 232). Constant weight on ones mind can lead to insanity. Human beings can lose control of their lives. The Tell-Tale-Heart illustrates the human spirit as a mysterious and unexplainable force. Poe's life was full of turmoil, which inevitably caused his madness. The enveloping force of evil drives Montressor to commit murder in The Cask of Amontillado. If supernatural is used in its broadest sense to mean "unexplained" then the force that impels Montressor's lack of humanity is indeed

Free Essays on Immigration In America

Halting Immigration Since the beginning of time, many of the world’s problems have been blamed on immigration because many refuse to customize themselves to their way of life. Kraut says, â€Å"Nativists were those Americans who believed that the immigrants posed an imminent danger to their way of life (25).† They believed that immigration was a threat to their society because immigrants took away jobs, had political and religious differences, and brought diseases back with them. These factors are what caused the formation of many chauvinistic groups, whose main purpose is to put a stop on the flow of immigrants so it would be a safer place to live. One can see the argument where halting immigration would cause a mass improvement in America’s society by making valuable resources more abundant and causing less prejudice in the streets. However, by taking away the chance of freedom and opportunity to these people is not only unjust but will cause strong acts of violence and rebellion against our nation causing Americans to live in fear. Nativists despised change, so when people of different cultures pushed their way into America, with their different clothing and odd skin tones, racism was the immediate reaction of the nativists. Groups such as the Ku Klux Klan or the KKK would walk the streets burning down churches in black neighborhoods. Anti-Semitism, which started with the holocaust, caused people to look at Jews as inferior to the society so they sent them away to concentration camps. John Higham’s study shows â€Å"Three strains of anti-immigrant venom- racial nativism, anti-Catholicism, and anti-radical nativism (27).† When Charles Darwin came up with â€Å"survival of the fittest† many nativists used this theory to claim they were superior to other races because they were born of the Anglo-Saxon race and others were incompetent because of their heredity. Cyberbullying Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Cyberbullying - Assignment Example It will also gather information on the students experiences with the vice and the extent of damage it caused. It will then gather their opinions on how well to address the issue. The modern day freshman is a victim of the new and insidious form of bulling that also involves social media. This research will focus on a quantitative study as the basis of the assessment of the prevalence of the problem. It will be informed by the actual opinions of the students based on the constructivist paradigm. The research will adopt a mixed methods approach to analyse the hypothesis that cyber bulling is a controllable concern among high schools in the United Kingdom. The mixed methods approach will allow the study to develop a complete picture of the research question. The triangular design will merge the qualitative and quantitative data as a means to understanding the research question. The embedded design in its part will create the auxiliary role of interpreting the quantitative data. The explanatory design will help in developing relationships and formulating solutions (Creswell, 2008). The students will be selected randomly from high schools across the nation and issued with open ended questionnaires and involved in interviews that will allow the researcher to document observations and also make content analysis. The sample size will be large to offer a more comprehensive result. This approach presents certain ethical limitations such as the relation between the personal opinions and the actual experiences of the students. The possibility of the students affecting their narration of the experiences with their personal opinion puts the research at the danger of being an analysis of opinion rather than experience. The approach requires the researcher to play the role of a moderator to the free flow of information. This, however, runs the risk of a bias by the researcher who may offer cues or leading information which acts to affect the

Teaching of Socrates Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Teaching of Socrates - Essay Example The three great Socratic philosophers, Socrates, Plato(www.wsu.edu:8080/dee/GREECE/PLATO.HTM), and Aristotle(www.philosophypages.com/hy/2n.htm), were to be "rediscovered" during the Renaissance(www.absoluteastronomy.com/ encyclopedia/c/ch/christendom.htm) and their rational, practical, and scientific ideas were to influence the thinking and the governmental, religious, and educational institutions of the entire western world" it also says that "Socrates was distinct in inculcating ideas on (a) Ethics(www.nd.edu/Departments/Maritain/etext/jmoral01.htm) that that influenced later Greek philosophers (b) Inductive method of reasoning. (www.cs.miami.edu/geoff/Courses/ CSC545-F05/Content/LogicalConsequence.shtml) (c) Imposed Knowledge is happiness. He believed that knowledge or insight is the foundation of virtue (depthome.brooklyn.cuny.edu/ classics/dunkle/studyguide/apology.htm) and happiness (plato.stanford.edu/entries/moral-character/) (d) Rationalism. Thru reasoning, man can reach the truth. His question and answer method, as described below, caused his students and future philosophers to use thinking as a major way of getting to the truth. Future philosophers and Catholic Saints like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas delved into his virtue, knowledge and happiness theories and expanded and brought to the next level Socrates' theories by adding their own modern day philosophical theories. In the "SOCRATIC METHOD . Athens(web.utk.edu/utfp/eoc/athens/) became the classroom of Socrates. He went about asking questions of authorities and of the man in the street in order to arrive at political and ethical truths. He questioned groups of his students as a means of instruction, to compel them to think a problem through to a logical(www.roangelo.net/logwitt/) conclusion. His dialectic(www.english-test.net/gre/ vocabulary/meanings/031/gre-words.php) method, or method of investigating problems through dialogue discussions, came to be known as the Socratic method. It involved: 1. SOCRATIC IRONY(depthome.brooklyn.cuny.edu/ classics/dunkle/studyguide/apology.htm). Socrates pretended that he knew no answers. His assumed ignorance or willingness to learn from others was the background for adroit questioning to reveal the t truth or expose the error of the answers he received. 2. DEFINITION(www.thefreedictionary.com/definition). The initial question usually required the definition of the concept. 3. ANALYSIS(www.mdx.ac.uk/www/study/glothi.htm - 101k - 28 Okt 2005). Subsequent questions elicited an analysis of the definition in all its implications.4. GENERALIZATIONS(www.friesian.com/founda-1.htm). After examining all of the particular applications and consequences of the concept(radicalacademy.com/philsocrates.htm), Socrates reasoned, or persuaded his students to reason, from the particular to the general, or by the process of induction, to reach a general conclusion". Globalization and its Effects Essay Example for Free

Globalization and its Effects Essay Research revelations in (Lardy, 2002, pp. 87-103) hold it that those countries which embraced globalization experienced an average of 5% growth, while those that shunned the concept experienced varied degrees of decline. Regardless of its positive impacts, Globalization if mishandled in one way or another can spell doom to a nation; this is due to the powerful economic vulnerable position that it puts a country on. As the economy grows, and international boarders linked, so does the non-traditional threats of terrorism, heightened rate of the spread of infectious diseases (SARS and HIV/AIDS) and other cross-boarder security issues. Globalization is an irreversible move and every nation has just to content with its effects, there is no short cut out of it; the best way to approach it therefore is to counter its effects and use them to the advantage of a national economy. Upon realizing this fact, the Chinese government went down into reconfiguring their economy to counter any negative outcome of globalization, for instance, it has affected reforms in the domestic banking and created diplomacy in defining international trade to at least protect Chinese interests (Susumu, 1999, p. ). Since globalization rolls the whole world into a single tiny village, the Chinese political big wigs have seen it necessary to consider the diverse effects that have in the past been not prioritized at all like; unregulated capital flows, cybercrime, epidemics, weapon proliferation and international terrorism. Top seed Chinese thinkers even believe that through the international institutions, globalization can be used to democratize t he United States and reduce their unilateralist political power. And if this concept is exploited well, China will grow into a rich and powerful nation, stable enough to shape the New World Order (Susumu, 1999, pp. 5-11). The Chinese economy stands to gain a lot in the current global direction that the nation is set on. With the current financial crisis, it does call for active international coordination to stay afloat and reduce incidences of worker lay offs. It will have mutual benefits for those who dare to fully participate in its drive. By getting to know the measures that other countries have put in place to counter biting effects, China has found a compromise point and forge a way forward through the current economic hard times. If the nation fine tunes its capital market and effects banking reforms, then it will help the world emerge out of the current economic crisis and even those of the future (http://www. unu. edu/unupress/unupbooks/uu11ee/uu11ee0p. htm). Globalization has helped China to gain a significant economic growth through breaking cultural bondage and establishing policies that lead to liberalization in this modern world. With the positivity that the nation has had on globalization, their current economic ranking rose to 7th from 32nd in the world, thanks to the integration with the world economy. The growth is attributed to increased corporate governance and human resource optimization. The positive effects of globalization as given in (Lardy, 2002, pp. 160-219) to the Chinese economy therefore include; strengthening interdependence in all nations, opening opportunities to bring into maximum use foreign capital and technology, promoting free trade that increase export trade. Lardy also gives highlights of the negative impacts presented by globalization, which he says are the following, but not limited to; difficulties in maintaining economic sovereignty especially for the developing nations and widening the rifts between the well industrialized economies and the marginalized ones. Globalization brings into play varied practices hence leading to cultural mix up; this is worse in a society which values originality like the Chinese. Besides these, it also results to an intensified competition for limited resources and higher scale of interdependence. To this effect, each and every person must acquire a way of coping up with the new development and adapt the new practices in the competitive environment. Traditional practices are most likely to be dropped in favor of new rules as individuals cooperate and coordinate with one another. To the Chinese government, they are currently down on what can be referred to as â€Å"system maintenance†. The nation has sought to have a stable relationship with its allies and foes a like as it feels that is the only way to rise above all the odds in the international system. To this effect, it has improved the level of democracy, which has in turn boosted its relationship with former foes like Germany, Russia, E. U and France (Susumu, 1999, pp. 11-15). Such a move will help China to actively participate in multinational institutions and transnational economic structures which will put it in a good position to counter future financial challenges with ease. For whichever government in place, it must strive to establish significant policies that can speed up development in all sectors of the economy. Even though globalization can cause a lot of hardships to the poor, it also opens opportunities to this group of individuals who dare to take advantage and turn the ills to their benefit. Poor people in this context refer to the recipients of public services, simple workers and those who frequently use common property resources to survive. With increased competition, the poor may find it hard to match high quality market standards hence falling out f business as production cost shoots or as the market price fluctuates. Social protection is therefore mandatory to be effected by every state that intends to go the global way, and China is not left out (Bardhan, 2004, pp. 271-278). Globalization affects poverty directly and indirectly, the government in place should get down on programs for instance investing on public facilities like health, education, training and other economic and social infrastructure that will cushion the public from the negative effects of globalization. These steps will go along way in reducing discrimination and market fragmentation in the society. Whilst the quality of life of many people will change for the better, some individuals will definitely lose it out. Globalization will present opportunities for everyone to grab and those who sleep on the idea and strive to maintain the status quo will be on the losing end. Resources drawn from every corner of the world will be made available; the same applies to technological advancement which makes things to be done much faster and easier. But one negative outcome of this is that the introduction of too much mechanization from the outside world will drive people out of employment as companies strive to achieve efficiency and reduce the production cost. But despite the negative effects, if properly affected, globalization stands a chance in ensuring that the nationals have a quality life worth living (Bardhan, 2004, p. 284). The advent of globalization presented so much challenge to the CCP (China Communist Party). People were getting more and more enlightened, especially with issues concerning their civil rights. Revolutions and a little bit isolated cases of political disability were therefore unavoidable and characterized the period. Labor standards became a thorny issue, as workers pushed to have their conditions be the same as those in the U. S. when labor barriers were eliminated production operations shifted directions to the U. S. The strain was not only felt in the labor market, the same was witnessed in the education, political, social and professional sectors which responded to accommodate the changes. All these under the CCP had to be addressed as they developed a force which needed political direction (Ding Lu, 2003, pp. 23-37). But all these moves were out of a good cause as it has helped the country to stay afloat above surging challenges. The future of the move seems to be no different as the party will have to employ the same tactics of changing with the changes. And more complex will be the future non traditional issues on security like; having to deal with separatists, drug traffickers, smugglers, cross-boarder criminal acts, ecological and environmental issues. Conclusion Globalization has been reported to be the force behind the robust economic growth in China as industrialization also took a centre stage in the country. But it is the imbalance in the international systems and national economies that are causing negative effects of the force. The financial crisis is not attributed to globalization and neither will it be the last straw to hit globalization, the government of China and all other world leaders should come up with mechanisms to coordinate the world market to strengthen their resistance to crises. Globalization tries to act like blanket of neutrality over the international capital flow and power relations. The successes that the nation is enjoying now area as a result of ancient liberalization and the move should never be dropped, for it is the only way to keep China and the rest of the world abreast as they ward off economic pitfalls. The programs which are meant to reduce the pathetic situation of the disadvantaged in the society should not only be meant to accelerate economic growth, but also help these individuals.
